Form of consultation

My counseling focuses on the wholeness and development of individuals, couples, groups and organizations through lifestyle counseling and personal development. I am not a psychotherapist or a clinical psychologist. This means that I do not make diagnoses nor do I treat psychological, emotional, psychiatric or physical disorders and diseases.

I am a graduate of the Master's degree program in Psychology and student of the 2nd phase of psychotherapeutic training in process-oriented psychology. I work under supervision, which means that I regularly consult my work with certified process work therapists with many years of experience. In this way I ensure the high quality of my work.

Although the consultations can bring many positive changes, there are also risks. The process of personal development and working on oneself can release unpleasant thoughts and feelings or trigger difficult memories. It is up to you to consider whether the risks taken are outweighed by the positive changes they may lead to.

You have full right to ask for everything about counselling.

Fees for services

The price per session is listed in the price list on the main page. In case we agree on a longer session time, the price will be increased by an adequate part. In case of financial hardship, you may request a reduced fee.

Payment is made in cash on the spot or to bank account SK41 1111 0000 0012 6713 5013. In both cases you will receive a receipt of payment.

Cancellation or rescheduling of a session

If you cancel or reschedule an arranged appointment within 24 hours of the appointment, you will be charged the full amount for the booked time. The exception to this rule is changing the time of the meeting within the day - if I have a free date.

Completion of the counselling process

The consultation and counselling process are voluntary and you have the full right to terminate it whenever you wish. Normally, the conclusion of a meeting is the result of a joint discussion on the fulfilment of the objectives of the meeting.

Phone calls, messages and emails

Our work together takes place during pre-arranged face-to-face or online sessions. If you find it necessary to make contact between sessions, I will respond as soon as possible, depending on my time availability. If the phone call or email reply exceeds about 5 minutes and is focused on solving the client's processes, it will be counted as a paid consultation valued at a fee of 5 Euro/5 min.

I won't always respond quickly enough. If the situation is acute, please seek help elsewhere. For example, it is possible to call free of charge to the nonstop Nezábudka helpline 0800 800 566 or write to nonstop chat crisis support https://ipcko.sk/chatova-poradna/.

Email and messages are primarily for making appointments and exchanging basic information, not for discussing the process and issues we are working on together during the sessions. If you wish to share such things in writing, we will come back to them together in session.

Confidentiality and protection of personal data
You have the right to full confidentiality of all information and everything that is said and done in the course of our meeting. This confidentiality continues even after our meeting is over. If you want me to break this confidentiality in specific circumstances, you may give me written or verbal permission to do so.

There are legal exceptions from this right:
1. If it is suspected that you may harm yourself or another person
2. If a child or elderly person in your care is suspected of being abused or neglected

Your personal data provided for the purpose of counselling interventions will be handled under the Personal Data Protection Act No.18/2018 Coll. If you suspect a violation of this law, please write to veronika.cief@gmail.com.

As I regularly consult my work with other professionals, even in these cases the client's personal data or other information that can serve to identify him/her is withheld. The other professionals are also bound by confidentiality.
